An opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at a K-12 educational setting in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs. Delivering instruction using specialized techniques and communication modes appropriate for deaf and hard of hearing learners. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and audiologists, to support comprehensive student growth. Monitoring and assessing student progress, adjusting instructional strategies accordingly. Supporting students social and emotional development through engaging, accessible curriculum. Qualifications: Valid teaching credential with certification or endorsement in Deaf Education or related field. Experience teaching deaf or hard of hearing students across K-12 grade levels. Proficiency in communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL), Cued Speech, or auditory-verbal techniques. Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an adaptive learning atmosphere. Commitment to ongoing professional development in specialized instructional strategies.
