This position seeks a skilled educator specializing in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, serving grades K through 12. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grades. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, audiologists, and general education staff. Utilize assistive technologies and communication methods such as sign language and auditory training. Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth. Preferred Qualifications: Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related field. Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within the K-12 education system. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Familiarity with assistive listening devices and educational technologies.
