Responsibilities include: Delivering tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Utilizing appropriate communication methods and assistive technologies to enhance student learning. Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records. Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive education. Participating in professional development and staying current with best practices in DHH education. Qualifications: Certification or licensure in Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Strong knowledge of audiology, speech, language development, and assistive technologies. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school community. Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
