A special education teaching position is available for the upcoming school year in a K-12 setting located in Laurel, MD. This contract role involves working onsite to provide dedicated support within a self-contained classroom designed for 12 to 17 students. Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student achievements and challenges. Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching license with certification in Special Education. Experience working with K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting. Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment techniques, and behavioral interventions. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Commitment to student-centered instruction and ongoing professional development.
