Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, audiologists, and general education teachers to support student success Utilize appropriate assistive technologies and communication methods, such as sign language and speech reading Assess student progress and adjust instructional plans accordingly Maintain clear communication with families to ensure alignment on student needs and goals Desired Qualifications: Valid teacher credential in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related specialized certification Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting Familiarity with educational laws and best practices governing special education services Strong skills in differentiated instruction and use of communication technologies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Location: Hayward, California This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
