Seeking two qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students from preschool through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting located in Cicero, IL. This contract position for the current school year offers the opportunity to provide specialized educational services that enable students with visual impairments to access and succeed in the general education curriculum.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative instruction for students ages 321 with visual impairments. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals based on each student's unique visual needs. Teach compensatory skills such as Braille literacy, assistive technology usage, orientation and mobility strategies (in collaboration with orientation and mobility specialists), and daily living skills. Modify classroom materials and offer consultation to teachers to ensure accessible and inclusive instruction. Collaborate closely with educational teams, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being. Travel between multiple school sites if serving in an itinerant role. Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Teacher for the Visually Impaired endorsement. Proven experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive education.
