Were looking for a certified and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to provide virtual interpreting support for K-12 students. In this fully remote role, youll play a key part in helping deaf and hard-of-hearing students access communication in both academic and social settings through online platforms.

Deliver real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for virtual classes, meetings, and school-related activities.
Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, teachers, school staff, and peers.
Prepare for lessons and assignments to ensure accurate interpretation of educational content.
Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student learning and IEP goals.
Follow interpreting ethics and standards as outlined by RID, EIPA, and Texas Department of Education guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
Experience interpreting in K-12 educational environments.
Strong understanding of educational terminology and IEP processes.
EIPA score 4.0+ (with written preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with remote/virtual interpreting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams).
Knowledge of Texaseducational system and student support services.
Ability to adapt interpretation to suit the age, grade level, and needs of individual students.
Work Environment & Schedule:
100% remote must provide own equipment (computer with webcam, headset, etc.).
Schedule follows the school calendar, with hours based on student needs..
