A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services to cover maternity leave from mid-October through January. This position involves supporting K-12 students across multiple schools within a diverse educational setting located in Saint Albans, VT.

Responsibilities include: Providing occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 76 students, excluding new evaluations. Delivering direct therapy and consultation to students primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Delay, and Other Health Impairment conditions, particularly ADHD. Managing caseload distribution mainly among three schools, with two located on the same campus. Collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress and inclusion. Conducting assessments, implementing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress in compliance with school policies. Desired qualifications: Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within K-12 settings. Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload that includes mild, moderate, and severe disabilities. Strong knowledge of therapeutic strategies for ASD, developmental delays, and attention-related impairments. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. This full-time role requires availability for 37.5 to 40 hours per week, with the exact hours to be confirmed. The contract duration spans the childs school year period for maternity leave coverage.
