Junior Sous Chef
to join our growing team.
The Role
You will work closely with our Executive Chef and leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations, consistent food quality, and adherence to food and labor cost targets. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their culinary leadership journey.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the line during service; manage the pass with urgency and accuracy
Maintain prep and par levels across all stations
Supervise and train prep and line cooks with diligence and consistency
Maintain food cost targets and labor cost targets through smart prep planning and execution
Execute and monitor cleaning protocols the kitchen, prep areas, pass, and dish areas must be spotless
Ensure all mise en place is tight and ready for service
Monitor product quality and ensure excellence in every dish that leaves the pass
Handle ordering, inventory, and receiving with attention to detail
Act as a role model of professionalism and calm under pressure
Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH teams
Who You Are
2+ years of experience in a leadership role in a professional kitchen
Highly organized and clean your station is always pristine
A natural mentor who leads by example
Strong understanding of prep systems, batch cooking, mise en place, and par levels
Familiar with kitchen financials (food/labor cost, inventory, ordering)
Passionate about food, hospitality, and creating great guest experiences
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
