Position Overview:
The Full Time Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical tasks requiring detailed knowledge of school procedures and policies; supports administrative and clerical details; maintains attendance records; and acts as liaison between Principal with staff, students, parents, and the community. The full time administrative assistant is evaluated by the school principal.

Responsibilities
Assists Principal as the main point of contact for a variety of clerical tasks at the Boys Middle School. Professionally represents the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students. Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries. Assists with student files Performs general office duties, including answering multi-line phones, routing telephone calls or messages to appropriate staff, greeting the public, typing, proofreading, checking and recording information, filing, sorting, and handling incoming and outgoing mail. Maintains a regular and up-to-date filing system. Works with various school and student reports, including, but not limited to, attendance, report cards, immunization records, schedules, and payments. Maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots Powerschool for accuracy. Communicate with students, parents, staff, community members, and public officers regarding various school-related issues. Assists parents, students, and teachers with translations. Checks daily attendance using Powerschool; calls home for the absent students. Calls home if a student suffers an accident or the child feels sick. Assists the students in cases in which they are bleeding or vomiting, always follows the security norms, and uses gloves. Files an accident report, keeps it in the correct binder, and provides Assistant Vice President of Finance and Benefits with a copy. Supervises students in the office. Responsible for making sure the student takes prescribed medication at the right time and gives the right medicine to the right student. Ensure that the tardy students are sent to their correct classroom every morning as soon as possible. Keeps sufficient supplies for the staff, not in excess, but yet what is necessary so that is available. Review the photocopier supplies periodically and make orders on time. Translates written communications. Works at any other campus as needed. Maintains professionalism and is polite in all personal contact. Informs the Principal of any situation that must be brought to his/her attention Attends parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and other activities as determined by the Principal. Dresses professionally. Business dress is the standard. Deposit money in an envelope marked with the amount and what the collection is for and immediately deposit it in the safe. No money should be kept on the administrative assistant's desk. Responsible for ensuring the visitors sign in at the School office and are given a visitor pass. Responsible for tracking campus daily attendance percentages. Perform duties as assigned by the Principal Organizational Overview
Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Catholic School founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee, WI. The school was founded in 1996 as Notre Dame Middle School, an all girls 5th-8th grade middle school to serve Latinas on the southside of Milwaukee. In 2012, a coed primary school opened. With the addition of the primary school, a new name was branded to encompass the entire K4-8th grade school community - Notre Dame School of Milwaukee. We currently serve over 600 students across two campuses and we have both an all-boys and all-girls middle school, a co-ed primary school, and an Early Childhood Education program. Education/Experience:
