Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations at a yarn manufacturing site. This includes managing production, safety, quality, cost control, and team development while leading a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership to direct managers and supervisors, optimize plant performance, and ensure business objectives are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, labor allocation, safety, quality, and cost optimization. Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to managers and supervisors, ensuring effective decision-making during both normal and upset conditions. Direct plant reporting and performance tracking, identifying deficiencies and driving corrective actions. Lead strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety while reducing costs. Manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime. Partner with Human Resources on staffing, talent development, and retention strategies. Foster a best-practice culture by implementing process improvements and encouraging innovation. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Significant experience in plant management or senior operations leadership within yarn manufacturing and textile production is required. Strong expertise in production planning, budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, safety compliance, and preventive maintenance. Successful background in developing and executing strategic improvement plans. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization. Willingness to relocate to various yarn manufacturing sites in the U.S.
