Job Description:

  • As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating policies and programs for our managed labs.

  • Covering the following activities: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, and employee relations for specific internal client groups.

  • Reports to the HR leader of HMH/PLS with functional responsibility to multiple client groups.

  • Recruits and screens exempt and non-exempt applicants.

  • Ensures compliance with corporate hiring practices and policies.

  • Administers the corporate performance management and salary administration programs in accordance with company policies.

  • Services as a representative for various employee relations' issues by counseling employees and managers, gathering information and working with the HRSC to make action recommendations

  • Facilitates training and career development plans for client groups.

  • Works with the HR leader HMH / PLS to administer the annual HR Planning Process, such as performance reviews, compensation planning & goal setting.

  • Serves as Glint Survey administrator for client groups.

  • Assists employees in resolving benefits coverage issues by troubleshooting with Corporate HR and Corporate Benefits.

  • Facilitates organizational design and change management initiatives with client groups

  • Travel up to 25% - to hospital locations within the Midwest Region

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree is REQUIRED

  • 3+ years HR Generalist experience

  • Worked in a medical environment

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel)

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle (HR specific systems)

  • Organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dealing with ambiguity

  • Prioritizing work

  • Have good time management and the ability to manage projects effectively

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment

  • Have critical thinking skills not just adminstrative experience

  • Strong excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)

  • Strong HR knowledge (Employment Law, Benefits, Employee Relations, etc)

  • Be able to exhibit self-initiative

  • Shift/Time Zone: M - F 8am - 5pm, additional hours or flexible start and end times may be required.

Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics.401(k) Plan: The Synectics Inc. Investment Savings Retirement Plan. Synectics offers all employees who are 21 years of age or older the opportunity to invest in the 401(k) Plan on the first enrollment date that is at least 30 days after employment begins. Enrollment dates are each January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
