The
Electrical Engineering Technician
is responsible for supporting electrical troubleshooting, servicing customer calls, and assisting with control system integration for industrial automation equipment. This role involves working directly with customers, providing remote and onsite troubleshooting, and supporting the engineering team with PLC and HMI programming needs. The technician will also document processes, support technical training, and ensure seamless operational performance. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical service issues. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues related to
PLC, HMI, motion control, and communication networks. Read and interpret
electrical schematics
to diagnose wiring and hardware faults. Support internal engineering projects and
backup electrical support
for installations. Conduct
onsite service visits and remote technical support
as needed. Utilize
CRM software (Salesforce)
to track and manage customer interactions. Assist in
PLC & HMI programming
(Allen Bradley Logix 5000, Siemens TIA Portal). Work with customers to train and educate on proper use and maintenance of systems. Develop and document
standard operating procedures (SOPs) . Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and industrial automation. Hands-on experience with
PLC programming, motion control, and industrial networking. Proficiency in
Allen Bradley Logix 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal. Ability to read and analyze
electrical schematics. Experience with
AutoCAD or Eplan
for electrical design is preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers. Familiarity with
CRM software (Salesforce)
and Microsoft Office. Preferred Skills
1-2 years of experience in PLC & HMI programming. Experience with
Eplan or AutoCAD
for control system design. Familiarity with
networking hardware and industrial communication protocols. Willingness to travel for
onsite customer support.
