Electrical Control Engineer needs 10+ years direct experience in industrial automation. Electrical Control Engineer requires: o Blueprint, Schematics, Programming, Siemens Control Language, Ladder Logic, MS Visual Basic, C++, Java, Python, MS SQL, PLC, HMI, VFD, Electrical testing equipment, P&ID schematics
o Certification in programming preferred, such as Siemens or Allen Bradley certified programmer. o State issued electrical trades license preferred. o Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical (Preferred) o Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and/or permutations. o Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. o Ability to code advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and/or permutations. o Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, and machine drawings. o Read, analyze, and interpret programming code documented in languages other than English. o Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific/technical journals, regulatory documentation, and legal documents. o Understands SOPs Electrical Control Engineer duties o Provide technical and engineering support for automated industrial machinery and industrial electronic controls. o Upgrade and retrofit controls that are obsolete with no direct replacements available. This requires making all necessary modifications to existing equipment. o Train technicians and apprentices the proper methods and procedures for process instrumentation calibration. o Train technicians and apprentices how to read and understand programming code and logic. o Train technicians and apprentices the best practices and methods of troubleshooting components of electrical controls systems. o Train technicians and apprentices about fluid power systems, and how to troubleshoot and repair these systems. o Read, create, and modify electrical schematics according to IEC and NFPA standards. o Read, create, and modify fluid power (hydraulics and pneumatics) schematics according to IEC and NFPA standards. o Read, create, and modify P&ID schematics according to IEC and NFPA standards.
o Read, create, and modify programming code in the following languages: Siemens Structured Control Language (SCL), Siemens Statement List, Siemens Graph 7, Siemens Function Block Diagram (FBD), Ladder Logic (Siemens, Allen Bradley and others), Allen Bradley Structured Text, Microsoft Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, Python, Microsoft SQL, and others. o Read, create, and modify database tables in MSSQL server. o Read, create, and modify HMI programs for Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other HMIs, this includes using WinCC Flex and Panel Builder 32. o Read, create, and modify SCADA programs for Siemens WinCC, and Inductive Automation. o Install, commission, repair and troubleshoot any brand of PLC, HMI or VFD. o
