A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at a middle school in Illinois, offering a unique two-phase contract assignment through the end of the 20252026 school year. This role focuses on supporting students with individualized education programs (IEPs) in inclusive classroom settings, fostering academic growth and success through collaboration and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities: Phase 1 (ImmediateDecember 2025): Co-teach core content with general education teachers in 6th grade classrooms, providing targeted support to students with IEPs. Phase 2 (JanuaryJune 2026): Co-teach 7th grade Science and Social Studies, while delivering instructional support in 6th grade Math and Reading through push-in or pull-out models. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teaching teams to develop and implement strategies that accommodate diverse learning needs. Monitor student progress related to IEP goals, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary. Maintain effective communication with students, families, and staff to support student achievement and well-being. Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement (LBS1 required). Experience utilizing co-teaching methods and providing support in both inclusive and small group settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and support staff. Proven ability to implement and monitor IEPs to meet students individualized needs. Location: Chicago Ridge, Illinois; Middle School setting.
