Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the learning needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams Utilize appropriate communication methods and assistive technology to facilitate student learning Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Work closely with families and multidisciplinary professionals to foster a supportive learning environment Qualifications: Valid teaching credential with certification or endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting Strong knowledge of communication systems such as American Sign Language (ASL), speech therapy, or cochlear implant technology Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families Commitment to creating inclusive and accessible education experiences Location: Elk Grove, CA Assignment Type: Contract for the current school year This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students academic success and personal growth.
