Ottoman/Bed Sewer – Sewing Department
Job Summary The Cushion Sewer is responsible for sewing fabric or leather covers for cushions used in upholstered furniture such as sofas and chairs. This role requires precision, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality sewn components that meet production specifications. As an ottoman/bed sewer, you embody our core values:

Department and Reporting Structure Department : Sewing Department Reports To : Sewing Operations Manager Direct Reports : None
Key Responsibilities We Own It : Operate sewing machines to sew ottomans and beds with accuracy, ensuring they meet production specifications and quality standards. We Give Our All : Inspect each sewn cushion cover to ensure proper alignment, stitching, and durability. We Are Family : Work closely with other team members to ensure timely completion of production schedules. Follow patterns, templates, and production instructions to create cushion covers that fit correctly and meet design requirements. Perform quality checks and resolve or report any defects or errors. We Have Fun : Contribute to a positive and engaging work environment while achieving individual and team goals. Maintain and care for sewing equipment, reporting any repair or maintenance needs to the Sewing Department Lead. Keep the workstation clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining workplace efficiency.
Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating sewing machines in a manufacturing or upholstery environment. Skills Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and understanding sewing techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow patterns and specifications accurately. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for sewing machines. Certifications None required, though training or certification in sewing techniques is a plus.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent repetitive motions.
