Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Vascular Interventional Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist experienced in both IR and Neuro IR procedures with ARRT certification required. Responsibilities Work in an interventional radiology department with 2 procedure rooms Handle a patient caseload of 15-20 procedures per day, including peripheral, neuro, diagnostic cases, tubes, drains, and biopsies Assist with fluoroscopic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures using sterile technique Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM On-call required 1 to 2 nights per week and every 4th weekend Uses PACS and Epic systems, with experience preferred Responsibilities include assisting practitioners with procedures, administering contrast, maintaining documentation, and ensuring radiation safety Requires maintaining inventory, operating imaging equipment, conducting patient assessments, and securing informed consent May involve working with students and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and infectious substances is possible Day one EKG testing is not required Local candidates accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel benefits Scrub dress code requirements apply Active listening, de-escalation, and teamwork skills are essential Requirements Certification and registration with ARRT required BLS required prior to direct patient care Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution preferred ACLS, R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT), or R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) certifications preferred Proficiency in IR and neuro-interventional procedures Competency with PACS and Epic systems preferred Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs and to stand for prolonged periods Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-595586.
