Position Overview The
Banquet Server
at Carneros Resort and Spa plays a key role in delivering seamless and memorable service during weddings, private dinners, meetings, and resort events. This
on-call role
requires flexibility—especially for
evening and weekend events
—a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to luxury service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is poised, team-oriented, and takes pride in providing anticipatory, polished service that enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Execute banquet service with precision and professionalism according to event orders and Forbes-level standards.
Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffets, and beverage stations.
Greet guests warmly, offer beverage and menu information, and serve food and drinks in a courteous and timely manner.
Communicate with Banquet Captains, Bartenders, and Culinary teams to ensure smooth event flow and prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned work areas throughout the event.
Handle guest requests, dietary needs, or service adjustments with professionalism and care.
Assist with tray passing, food stations, plated service, and event resets as needed.
Follow safety, sanitation, and service protocols at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of banquet, catering, or fine dining service experience preferred
Excellent guest service skills and ability to work in both team and independent settings
Comfortable with formal service styles (e.g., tray service, multi-course meals, wine presentation)
Ability to adapt quickly to event changes, special requests, or guest needs
Experience in luxury hospitality or Forbes service environments a plus
Schedule & Physical Requirements
On-call position
with emphasis on
evening, weekend, and holiday availability
Ability to work a
flexible schedule
based on event volume and business needs
Must be able to
lift and carry up to 40 pounds
, including banquet equipment, trays, and supplies
Must be able to
stand and walk for extended periods
and move between indoor and outdoor venues on the resort property
