Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students unique learning styles and abilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture conducive to student growth Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and service providers to ensure a comprehensive educational experience Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal special education guidelines Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for advocating for students with special needs and promoting inclusive education Location: Hartford, Connecticut This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of students requiring specialized educational support.
