A Special Education Teacher position is available to provide specialized instructional support to K-12 students in a structured school environment. Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and state guidelines Adapt general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary documentation for compliance and reporting Utilize positive behavior interventions and supports to foster a conducive learning environment Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12 education Demonstrated experience working with students who have a range of disabilities Strong knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere Location: Hartford, Connecticut This contract position for the current school year is ideal for educators passionate about supporting special education students in a dynamic K-12 setting.
