Business Applications Architect
to join its Corporate & Industry (C&I) IT team. This is a key strategic role responsible for shaping the future-state of the enterprise applications landscape, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA implementation and business application modernization. This individual will lead architectural design and integration efforts across a suite of business-critical systems, ensuring long-term scalability, performance, and compliance. The role requires close collaboration with IT leadership, SAP functional teams, and business stakeholders to enable a smooth transition from legacy systems (including NetSuite) to SAP S/4HANA 2022 Private Cloud and associated FIORI applications. Key Responsibilities: Drive end-to-end enterprise architecture for business systems beyond the SAP S/4HANA implementation. Lead technical planning, integration, and optimization for US-based business applications. Develop and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and interoperability strategies. Serve as liaison between IT and functional business units to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Ensure architectural compliance with SOX, GXP, and ITGC controls. Provide strategic input on application roadmaps, system enhancements, and data flow optimization. Oversee smooth integration of SAP FIORI applications into the broader IT ecosystem. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline—or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA and enterprise application architecture. Proven expertise with SAP FIORI application design and implementation. Experience managing ERP migrations, ideally from NetSuite to SAP. Strong knowledge of business process architecture, system integration, and application lifecycle management. Familiarity with GXP, SOX, and ITGC change control frameworks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to influence across cross-functional teams. Additional Information: Work Schedule:
Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week onsite in Boston, MA (02210). Contract Type:
W2 hourly. No C2C, 1099, or visa sponsorship available. Compensation:
$80–$90/hr W2, based on experience.
