Accounting Assistant
Our client is a family-owned business involved with the engineering and construction industry in Florida since 1984. Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and experience handling financial records. This role will involve processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting. Responsibilities: Work with main accountant by keeping track of company revenues and expenses and assist making reports with the main accountant. Account for daily balance of companies Coordinate with the Accounting Department on Past-Due invoices for jobs completed Create/Send invoices on completed jobs Other miscellaneous office tasks Assist with bi-weekly payroll for employees Monitor timesheets of employees for payroll Call past due invoices for collections Make Reconciliations for the account balances on the end of the month Skills: Strong written language and grammar skills Ability to take direction from main accountant well Strong Quickbooks Skill Ability to do reconciliations for accounts Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Strong organization skills Strong time-management skills Ability to work independently Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports. Support month-end and year-end financial close processes. Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status. Assist in preparing financial documents for audits. Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting, such as filing and data entry. Big Plus, Familiarity with quality assurance, documentation, PCI Compliances, regulations and best practices Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Ability to Commute: Doral, FL 33172 (Required) Work Location: In person Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
