Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop support plans and ensure student success Conduct assessments to identify family and community factors affecting student well-being Facilitate crisis intervention and provide resources for issues such as bullying, trauma, and mental health concerns Advocate for students' rights and help connect families with community services Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all applicable school and legal standards for confidentiality Desired Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) with valid licensure or eligibility in Illinois Experience working within a school setting, preferably middle school Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, counseling techniques, and community resources Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining a student-centered approach This is a full academic year contract opportunity ideal for a social worker committed to fostering a positive school climate and promoting student growth.
