Overview

Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Elkhart, IN (Fully Onsite)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000

Responsibilities

• Manage all cost accounting activities related to the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Analyze and report on cost variances, margins, and manufacturing performance to provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy in product costing and inventory valuation.
• Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to support decision-making and improve cost efficiency.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost models to evaluate business performance and support strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven expertise in variance analysis, margin analysis, and cost reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
