This position seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support students in a K-12 school setting focused on specialized educational needs. The role involves working within resource rooms and upper school classrooms, assisting students with Autism and intellectual impairments in substantially separate environments. The contract is for the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support in resource rooms for students with Autism.
Assist in upper school classrooms serving students with intellectual impairments.
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified teachers.
Support academic and social development through direct student engagement.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role.
Familiarity with strategies for educating students with Autism and intellectual disabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth.
