A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a dedicated paraprofessional with a focus on supporting students with special needs in Boston, MA. This contract position spans the full academic year and involves working within a specialized environment tailored to meet diverse student requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support as a Resource Room teacher for students with Autism, facilitating individualized learning plans in a structured setting. Serve as an Upper School teacher for students with intellectual impairments in a substantially separate classroom, adapting teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs. Collaborate with a team of two Resource Room teachers to deliver specialized instruction and reinforce academic and social development goals. Implement behavioral and educational interventions in accordance with each students individualized education program (IEP). Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records to communicate effectively with families and support staff. Qualifications and Experience: Prior experience working as a paraprofessional in special education settings, preferably with students on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual impairments. Strong understanding of individualized educational approaches and behavioral support techniques. Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families. Patience, adaptability, and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Relevant educational background or certifications related to special education support. Location: Boston, Massachusetts, serving a K-12 school.
