Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated HR Manager to build and oversee the human resources function for our client, a growing oilfield services company. This person will be based in Lipan or Midland and will travel as needed to our various locations.
The HR Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing HR systems, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety-related personnel requirements, and supporting our operations by providing structure to the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding through offboarding. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop processes, train team members, and be a trusted resource for personnel matters.
A company vehicle will be provided for business travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR systems, processes, and documentation to support a growing workforce
- Oversee new hire onboarding, including welcome packets, orientation schedules, and electronic access setup
- Manage offboarding processes — collect company equipment, deactivate system access, and conduct exit interviews
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and customer-specific safety documentation requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized employee files, safety records, and compliance documents
- Serve as a resource for supervisors and employees on personnel issues, helping resolve conflicts and providing guidance
- Coordinate and help deliver training programs for safety and company policies
- Travel as needed to multiple sites to audit files, provide training, and support site leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or related role
- Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and safety documentation requirements
- Demonstrated ability to build HR processes and organizational systems from the ground up
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience handling onboarding, offboarding, and personnel matters (no payroll responsibilities)
- Ability to work independently and travel regularly between sites
- Proficient with MS Office, HRIS systems, and electronic document management
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 per year
