Fire Alarm Designer
Job Title: Fire Alarm Designer, Colorado Springs, CO - $25 to $45/hr depending on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Alarm Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to create effective fire safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design fire alarm systems according to project specifications and applicable codes.
- Create detailed schematics and blueprints using AutoCAD and CAD software.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop fire safety solutions.
- Review and interpret building plans and specifications for fire alarm installations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, including NFPA and local regulations.
- Select appropriate fire alarm equipment and components, such as Silent Knight, Siemens, and Notifier.
- Prepare and submit specifications and design documents for client approval.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and verify design requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Designer or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD software for designing fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and components, including Silent Knight, Siemens, and Notifier.
- NICET certification in fire alarm systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
