The Messaging Platform team within the Digital organization is passionate about building solutions that empower field marketers and content creators to tell an engaging and consistent brand story across email, SMS, and WhatsApp touch points. This Role Our vision is to use the best of AI, agents with a Salesforce on Salesforce mission, to deliver 1:1 messaging to our subscribers. As a principal product manager, you will oversee this vision, product strategy and execution for our email prioritization and eligibility engine. You will lay out the roadmap, plan the sprints, groom the backlog, set the KPIs, measure success, and experiment relentlessly. You will inspire our engineering team to transform how product marketers work, and will drive success to our bottom line. You will work in a scrum-agile environment and manage engineering capacity. You will keep an eye on the latest technology trends, have an understanding of compliance, reliability, scalability, and performance in production. You are a fast learner and can push the status quo. Your Impact - Responsibilities

Influence and compellingly communicate the vision to a wide variety of key partners and stakeholders Assess the market, platforms, industry trends, and customer needs across AI to identify trends and opportunities Collaborate heavily with engineers, whether they are building or supporting clients, backend services, libraries, data pipelines, machine learning models, and so on Align executive management and other critical stakeholders to the vision and strategy and work cross-functionally to put together a viable plan and roadmap. Build the vision, product strategy, roadmap and execution Partner with field marketing to deploy the product. Provide regular updates to leadership, escalating items when needed but with presence and relationships to identify and resolve most issues independently Knightledgeably and successfully present our strategy, roadmap and current progress/actions to senior executive audiences inside and (as approved with PR) outside the company Foster, facilitate, and furnish, timely decision-making across a broad network of stakeholders, delivery partners, and operational teams. Quickly adopt awareness and demonstrate command of policies, processes, and programs with discernment of the different pressure-points for each. Collaborate with security, architecture, engineering, quality, support, experience, program, and infrastructure partners in coordinating delivery of complex, multi-year initiatives Represent and lead diverse delivery functions in program/project core team and executive meetings. Accountability for team integrity, product excellence, decision making, delivery estimates and roadmaps, career development, communications, and project outcomes. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, with single-handedly leading and coordinating product, architecture, data science and technology implementation Deep experience in delivering enterprise products/applications with an emphasis on digital channels at high scale and complexity (web, email, app, chat, etc.); Bonus points if you’ve already worked with email. Expertise in implementing Salesforce solutions, such as Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud and Einstein Expertise with machine learning models, large language models, computational thinking Business savvy for budgeting, project structuring, vendor and partner management, staff structuring, and negotiations Assessing the capabilities, impact and shortcomings of changes in enterprise business architectures and processes from a technical and business standpoint Familiar and comfortable with agile/scrum development methodologies Able to put his/her hands-on experience to use and work as an individual contributor (when required) Communicate with business as well as technical audiences. Able to write clear and concise documentation, excellent written and spoken communication skills Function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a (really) fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement. Travel requirements: less than 15% The position is based in Chicago, IL or Seattle, WA and requires flexible work shift schedule to accommodate North American and UK time zones.
