RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 34-bed medical surgical floor with stroke and neurology designation
• Maximum capacity of 43 patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary at max capacity
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, and 1 unit secretary at max capacity
• Work with remote telemetry equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke certification and ACLS preferred
• Navy scrubs required for dress code
• Provide care for general medical surgical patients as well as stroke and neurology patients
• Ideal candidate should be upbeat, engaged, and compassionate
