RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 2F Med Surg unit serving as a general medical surgical floor and stroke/neuro designated unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary when at max capacity
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, and 1 unit secretary when at max capacity
• Unit has 34 beds with maximum capacity of 43 patients
• Work with remote telemetry equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Required certification: BLS
• Preferred certifications: NIH Stroke certification and ACLS
• Dress code requires navy scrubs
• Ideal candidates are upbeat, engaged, and compassionate
• Perform typical medical surgical nursing procedures on stroke and neurology patients
