Lead Security Guard

You will serve as a Lead Security Guard in the security department of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE. Responsibilities include making daily assignments to ensure guard coverage, instructing employees in specific tasks, providing on-the-job training, and checking and securing buildings to protect personnel, property, and facilities. You will also perform control desk duties, monitor alarm systems, and verify identification through various means.

Requirements: To qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: controlling personnel access by verifying identification, enforcing security measures, providing guidance on security matters, and providing instructions and training to employees.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Tour of duty is either a standard shift or rotating shifts as assigned. This position is subject to periodic training and requalification testing. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
