Responsibilities State Farm Human Resources & Development (HR&D) Workforce Technology group is seeking a Software Developer Intern with that is looking to share their knowledge and continue their personal growth with application and process automation development. We are looking for those who are passionate about creating custom solutions that address our business problems and support our strategic vision. We are seeking an aspiring Software Developer with a knack for developing innovative solutions that provide the best user experience.
This is an opportunity for developers to challenge themselves and learn a unique technical stack, experiment with evolving frameworks and platforms, while pushing the boundaries on what is possible with our custom solutions.
As a Software Developer Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
Work with an experienced Software Developer team Generate your own ideas and take charge of developing code to bring them to life Contribute to sprint planning by providing estimates for completing product stories Enjoy the freedom to be creative and design code according to your preferences Engage in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and collaboration Lead the design of solutions, taking into account risks, performance, user experience, and testability Collaborate with business areas to review user interfaces and ensure that desired outcomes are achieved
Qualifications Seeking a current junior or senior in an undergraduate program majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Development with a graduation date of August 2026 or later Minimum GPA of 3.25 preferred (please include on your resume) An ideal candidate will have experience with:Microsoft power platform experience and automate desktop Database management (SQL, Microsoft Dataverse)
Internship Program Eligibility:
To be eligible for the summer internship program, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship. Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
***Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity***
What You Can Expect:
The internship will occur between June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per weekDue to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
Pay: $28.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend! Work Arrangement:HYBRID: Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.
