Responsibilities Are you ready to join the industry leader? State Farm is looking for passionate and self-driven students to join our Summer Internship program! The Workforce Technology - Strategy and Enablement team within our Human Resources and Development department is responsible for exploring new and emerging technologies and driving AI enablement to enhance the employee experience. This program will offer you hands-on work along with real-world research opportunities. You will collaborate with business areas to identify AI solutions aligned with business opportunities, develop AI solutions using low-code tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, and manage AI use cases through the enterprise AI risk process. State Farm continues to refine and expand the use of technology for employees, agents and customers. Qualifications We Are Looking for The Following:
Current Sophomores or Juniors majoring in an IT degree. Students who apply MUST be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship. Good technical problem-solving skills. Able to communicate complex technical topics to a range of non-technical audiences. Drive and initiative to lead and affect positive change. Leverages feedback from team members and industry best practices. Willing to navigate the organization using strong soft-skills and communication.
Seeking candidates with experience in any of the following:
Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, as well as familiarity with HR software systems and tools. Ability to conduct thorough research on emerging technologies, trends in HR, and AI applications, and synthesize findings into actionable insights. A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Internship Program Eligibility: To be eligible for the internship program, you must be a full-time student during the 2026 summer internship and must be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship.
***Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity.***
Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
What You Can Expect:
The internship will occur between June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
Pay: $28.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend! Work Arrangement: HYBRID: Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.
