Truck Driver - Mobile, AL (Transportation)

This is a skilled position requiring at least one year of related experience. The individual must operate efficiently an end dump and/or belly dump (with and without trainers and tamping systems). Responsibilities include delivering soils, aggregates, and other materials to residential and commercial locations. The position requires making pre- and post-trip inspections, performing routine maintenance, and lifting/moving materials as needed.

Requirements:

• Thorough operational knowledge of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment.
• Class A license.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain time and material records.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
• Skill in maneuvering and backing with double and triple pup trailers.
• Effective communication skills, including radio communication.
• Ability to connect and disconnect pup trailers.
• Physical ability to lift/move 10 to 30 lbs, climb, sit/drive, shift gears, cover/uncover loads, change wheels, and use hand tools.

• Responsible for loading/unloading water for compaction and dust control.

• Ensure equipment is in working condition, perform minor servicing, and report major issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Note: Job duties are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as needed.
