Overview

Business Analyst role at FastTek Global. The position requires translating business processes into technical requirements and collaborating with architects to drive large-scale application projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead discussions with developers and architects to bridge business requirements and technical limitations, ensuring the right solutions are implemented.
• Work with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure business needs are understood, solutions are aligned, and software is delivered on time and within scope.
• Analyze raw data gathered by the project team and apply tools to extract meaningful insights and drive decision-making.
• Assess whether to build a custom solution or purchase off-the-shelf software based on business needs and technical feasibility.
• Modernize legacy systems, integrate existing solutions, or build new applications as appropriate to the business context.
• Lead initiatives by managing cross-functional teams, mentoring junior BAs, and sharing best practices.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Minimum 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a proven track record of understanding business processes and translating them into technical requirements.
• 10 years of experience developing technical designs with application and solution architects, guiding large-scale projects.
• Expertise in reviewing technical designs and specifications for completeness and quality; strong experience in responsive, human-centric design solutions.
• Knowledge of current software development practices, including Agile, DevOps, and modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex business issues, propose solutions, and make data-driven decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency with process modeling tools to create flowcharts, data models, and business process diagrams.
• Familiarity with industry standards and techniques in business process mapping and re-engineering.

Detailed Skills

• Ability to communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of business needs and technical capabilities.
• Experience in Agile or Hybrid environments, translating business needs into user stories for IT development teams, with knowledge of Waterfall as well.
• Understanding of how software applications integrate with enterprise systems and databases.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, APIs, and middleware.
• Skill in identifying gaps and designing solutions that meet business needs, whether by building features, integrating third-party apps, or enhancing legacy systems.
• Ability to break down complex requirements into actionable tasks for development teams.
