TEKsystems is hiring: IT Desktop Support Technician in Grand Rapids

One of TEKsystems' clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a local enterprise company and to grow their skills within IT Support, with potential career advancement within IT. They are currently seeking individuals eager to grow within their company.

Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience is preferred. IT certifications are desirable for this role. This will be a first-shift Contract to Hire position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
2. Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
3. Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.
4. Assist users with logged IT-related incidents.
5. Take ownership of issues by analyzing problems and implementing fixes, escalating incidents when necessary.
6. Record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.
7. Install and configure new IT equipment.
8. Resolve incidents and upgrade hardware and software.
9. Resolve issues with printers, copiers, and scanners.
10. Maintain high-quality customer service, ensuring efficient and appropriate treatment of all customers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $16.00 - $22.00/hr, negotiable based on experience.
