Support a critical
Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program
by assisting California residents affected by natural disasters. As a
Claims Representative , you'll guide applicants through the claims process with empathy, ensuring clarity, compliance, and timely documentation. This role involves in-person interaction, technical navigation, and emotional intelligence to support residents during a challenging time.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents
in-person
with inquiries and claims process guidance Guide applicants through
online claim applications , ensuring data accuracy Help scan, upload, and
validate documents
according to program policies Clearly communicate
next steps and claim statuses
to applicants Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams Maintain compliance with
data privacy and confidentiality regulations Demonstrate
professionalism and empathy
in sensitive situations Required Experience
Prior experience in
insurance
or
healthcare claims support
(preferred) Comfortable navigating
web-based systems Basic MS Office knowledge Strong customer service background Nice-to-Have Experience
Previous experience working on
disaster recovery programs Government or utility-sector experience Required Skills
Customer interaction in-person with
active listening Document handling
and digital file management Understanding and following standard operating procedures Ability to communicate with clarity and compassion Preferred Skills
Familiarity with claims processing platforms Knowledge of data privacy and handling sensitive documentation Additional Skills
