Job Summary As a
Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) , you will be the first point of contact for patients visiting for routine healthcare screenings or critical diagnostic testing. This role requires excellent
phlebotomy skills , strong
customer service , and the ability to build patient trust while ensuring quality specimen collection and accurate recordkeeping. The PSR I will perform specimen collection, maintain compliance with safety and confidentiality standards, and promote process excellence in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate specimen collection, including
pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing per clinical protocols Ensure accurate documentation and maintain required patient records Provide a safe, professional, and welcoming patient experience Explain collection procedures clearly to patients and answer questions confidently Support daily operations under area supervisor, ensuring timeliness and accuracy Perform clinical and forensic collection duties following established procedures Participate in weekend, holiday, on-call, or overtime coverage as needed Required Experience
Minimum 6 months of
phlebotomy experience Customer service experience (preferably in healthcare or retail) Keyboard/data entry proficiency Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Phlebotomy certification
required in California Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred) Nice-to-Have Experience
1+ years of phlebotomy experience Experience working with pediatric and geriatric populations Required Skills Phlebotomy Patient communication Data entry accuracy Specimen handling
Preferred Skills Healthcare customer service Clinical compliance knowledge Documentation accuracy
