The

Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

represents the

face of the company

to patients, providing skilled blood collection and professional patient interaction. The PSR I will perform specimen collection, ensure accuracy of patient data, and maintain a safe, professional environment while demonstrating sensitivity and confidentiality in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

specimen collection (phlebotomy)

with confidence, including pediatric and geriatric draws. Ensure proper preparation of specimens for lab testing. Create a patient-friendly environment, explaining procedures to foster trust and confidence. Accurately maintain records and documentation in compliance with company standards. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection duties in a timely and professional manner. Maintain workplace safety and compliance with procedures. Deliver excellent

customer service

to patients, clients, and colleagues. Be flexible and available for

weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime

as needed. Required Experience

Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience (1+ years preferred) Customer service experience in retail/service environment preferred Proficiency in

keyboard/data entry Required Education & Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent required Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification required in California

(preferred in other states) Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills across all age groups Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Accuracy and attention to detail in specimen collection and data entry Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Skills

Prior lab or clinical diagnostic setting experience Demonstrated organizational commitment and process excellence Benefits
