An Assistant Director of Sales is an extension of the Director of Sales and is responsible for managing a high-value group segment while mentoring select members of the team. Hilton seeks experienced sales professionals who want to grow into leadership roles and lead teams of their own. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization encompasses sales, revenue, marketing, catering and events management, call centers, and analytics — the core of Hilton’s commercial engine driving profitable growth. What will I be doing? The primary responsibilities are to support the group sales team at the hotel and participate in business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful toward achieving the hotel’s annual budget and crossover targets. As an Assistant Director of Sales, you will own and manage a key vertical market for the hotel and contribute leadership support to the commercial strategies for the sales team. You will help improve sales team performance by linking strategy to business processes, with emphasis on revenue streams including Rooms, Catering and Events. Key deliverables include supporting deployment, team composition, and a predictive and prescriptive approach to drive performance. The role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills, plus a deep understanding of customer needs and a disciplined approach to qualifying, negotiating, and securing new revenue. This role is onsite only. Responsibilities

Customer and Account Management - Apply strong sales skills to create customer value. Differentiate Hilton from the competition and bring clear value to customers and the organizations they represent. Prospecting - Demonstrate mastery of the prospecting process. Identify potential customers. Prepare and implement your call strategy. Negotiations - Understand the customer and the business leader's expectations. Adapt to a changing market. Contribute to the hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Strategic Intentions and Commercial Strategy, in partnership with the hotel commercial leadership team and regional sales, revenue and marketing support. Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Hotel. Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows and customer events. Develop, execute, and communicate a monthly, quarterly, and annual business plan for a designated market. Maintain up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities that meet short- and long-term objectives for the designated market. Represent the hotel in all interactions with customers related to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts. Conduct site inspections through expert storytelling with prospective and existing customers based on their individual needs. Maintain a clear understanding of the competitive marketplace and the current state of the industry within the hotel’s geographic market. Leadership

Lead segments of daily and weekly business review and sales strategy meetings. Collaborate with the DOSM/DOS to contribute to the commercial strategy plan pertaining to sales; socialize and amend the plan regularly. Contribute to the development of the hotel’s sales site visit strategies and approach. Conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity; utilize all communication tools. Lead enterprise and hotel-level sales initiatives (e.g., America’s Week of Engagement, Global Week of Engagement, Sales Accelerators, Team Member Appreciation Week). Support sales team members’ activities during absences or remote work. Contribute feedback to performance reviews for all sales managers and sales support staff. Facilitate and lead a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG enterprise goals. Compensation and Benefits Hilton offers a best-in-market Short-Term Incentive Plan (SIP) for Sales, Catering & Events teams. The plan includes a quarterly component worth 20% of bonus-eligible earnings. A revenue goal of 200k USD or greater is required for payout eligibility. Payout as a percentage of base eligible earnings is capped at 60% at 250% achievement if the quarterly revenue goal is below 200k USD. What are we looking for? To fulfill this role successfully, demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: Minimum Years of Experience: Three (3) years of hotel sales experience as a senior sales manager with a consistent track record of achieving annual production goals. Leadership and mentoring experience to lead a small team. Highly professional presentations and strong oral and written communication skills. Affiliation with professional organizations related to the travel industry. Proficiency in Delphi FDC. Hilton experience preferred.
