Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to provide management for all operations and supervision of staff within the Speech & Hearing Clinic. The position assists the Clinic Director as well as the School Director in the administrative functions and relationships with external and internal agencies (i.e.: federal, state, local, and private health agencies).
Fiscal Management:
Determines, assesses, and bills appropriate fees for clients, including those for diagnostic evaluations and therapy sessions. Receives and deposits money obtained from clinical services. Reconciles the receipt book with the records of deposits. Maintains agreements and necessary forms, authorizations, and correspondence associated with the collection of fees from third-party payment agents such as Medicaid, HMO, and any other insurance agencies. Clinic Management : Provides tech assistance for the electronic medical records system. Determines the need for and monitors all legal documents as necessary in the provision of professional services. Oversees clinic purchases of supplies. Liaison for equipment, contracts, and maintenance for the clinic. Provides assistance during accreditation and program reviews. Acts as liaison for community benefit/wellness programs. Personnel Management:
Supervise, determine, and delegate job tasks to USPS, OPS, work-study students, GA's, and volunteers. Prepares performance evaluations of USPS personnel and work-study students assigned to the clinic. Coordinates the application of attendance and leave policies and procedures. Approves electronic time sheets. Coordinates the advertising, screening, interviewing, and hiring of USPS and OPS personnel for the clinic. Building Management : Liaison with facilities to coordinate all building issues requiring maintenance, repairs, moves, and construction. Monitors and requests housekeeping services. Arranges the necessary physical environment. Represents the Warren building with parking services. Manages inventory for the department as the "inventory taker."
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
