Join to apply for the Human Resources Generalist role at BYD North America. This is a 100% on-site position in Lancaster, CA with no hybrid/remote work options available.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and Hiring: collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs; develop recruitment plans; build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates; manage the open position requisition process and post approved positions to appropriate job boards and resources.
  • Screening and Interviewing: screen resumes and applications; coordinate and oversee interview processing (phone, Skype, onsite) with candidates, managers, and interviewers; complete reference checks and review findings with hiring managers prior to job offers.
  • Offers and Onboarding: help create and extend employment offers; initiate post-offer, pre-employment screening and initial onboarding, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Employment Records and Compliance: generate and maintain employment records; ensure accurate job descriptions; monitor performance evaluation programs; administer HR plans and procedures; prepare employee handbook and policies manual; ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Employee Relations and Benefits: counsel management on employee relations issues; address harassment, work complaints, and other concerns; manage annual open enrollment and communicate plan provisions to employees; monitor benefit enrollments and provide on-site carrier representation when needed.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting: generate monthly new hire/recruiting reports; perform audits and prepare branch compliance reports as applicable.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of HR experience, or a master’s degree in HRM with 5 years of HR experience, or seven years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and strong presentation skills; excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws; ability to handle employee relations issues with discretion and confidentiality.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and team-work skills; ability to work independently and in a team; attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $68,640–$90,000/year
