Job Summary
The HR Generalist provides broad-based support across benefits administration, leave management, onboarding, and employee relations. This role ensures HR processes run smoothly, supports compliance, and serves as a key partner in maintaining a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Provide support in employee relations investigations and case management. Partner with HR leadership to manage multiple cases and ensure timely case resolution.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs on a monthly and annual basis. Lead annual Open Enrollment processes, including updating plan details in ADP and revising welcome messages. Manage system notifications and ensure accuracy of benefit communications. Process life event benefit changes in a timely manner. Support 401(k) plan administration and employee enrollment.
- Leave Administration: Manage employee leaves of absence (LOAs) in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Onboarding: Serve as a cross-trained backup to HR Coordinators for new hire onboarding. Assist with onboarding processes to ensure seamless employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong foundation in generalist responsibilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits administration, leave of absence management, and HR compliance regulations.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now, including benefits, onboarding, and reporting modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the ability to create, analyze, and present professional reports, documents, and presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience working in healthcare, multi-site, or fast-paced environments.
- Advanced knowledge of HR compliance and best practices in employee relations.
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits, and leave reporting tools.
- Experience with Google Workspace applications (Google Sheets and Google Docs), including the ability to collaborate in shared documents and perform data analysis or reporting.
