GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Coordinates the supply and management of materials in the warehouse to ensure the timely provision of inputs required in different areas.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

  1. Perform inspections (reception, safety and storage, stock inventory, etc.) of product stock to determine the current condition, rate of deterioration, and recommend condition changes to ensure a safe and compatible storage environment. Communicate inspection status to warehouse personnel.
  2. Coordinate the location of uninspected products to ensure proper placement and distribution, guaranteeing the inspection of pending stock.
  3. Ensure that product designated for fumigation is unstuffed promptly and coordinate with USDA inspectors for seal checks, etc.
  4. Coordinate the distribution and delivery of supplies or parts to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules, ensuring timely delivery to appropriate individuals or areas.
  5. Coordinate shipping activities with external parties, inspecting shipments upon arrival to verify correct order fulfillment and adherence to specifications.
  6. Compile and prepare information related to production progress, inventory levels, transportation, customer information, personnel schedules, purchases, maintenance, and repair orders to generate status reports.
  7. Check data for recording errors, including confirming sales orders and inventory matches in Dole systems (Tranship).
  8. Monitor yard labor assigned to yard cleaning (this responsibility now falls under Enstrcture SQF).
  9. Calculate costs of goods or services, such as labor, materials, and manufacturing costs (e.g., warehouse office supplies).
  10. Discuss account status or activity with customers or patrons, troubleshooting issues related to customer orders, holds, and product availability.
