About The Role

Summary

The ServiceNow Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for managing and configuring the Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro) module within the ServiceNow platform, overseeing the entire lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. The role involves utilizing HAM Pro's advanced features to track asset details, generate reports, and ensure compliance with company policies.

This is a Corporate position located in Missoula, MT.

The entry-rate for this position is $21.42+ per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually, considering factors such as geographic location, experience, and education.

Duties and Responsibilities

Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Create and maintain accurate records of hardware assets within ServiceNow, including serial numbers, purchase dates, asset tags, and locations.
  • Manage the asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including tracking deliveries and coordinating decommissioning.
  • Configure and administer HAM Pro settings, including custom fields, workflows, and business rules to meet organizational needs.
  • Set up asset categorization and tagging for reporting and analysis.
  • Manage user access and roles within HAM Pro to ensure data security.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate reports on asset utilization, maintenance costs, and compliance status.
  • Analyze asset data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Create dashboards to visualize key asset metrics for stakeholders.

Integration with other systems

  • Integrate HAM Pro with other ServiceNow modules like Incident Management and CMDB.
  • Establish data synchronization with external systems such as procurement and accounting tools.

Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate asset data collection and maintenance.
  • Provide training and support to HAM Pro users.
  • Troubleshoot asset management issues within ServiceNow.

Other Activities

  • Review nightly Discovery schedules for errors.
  • Collaborate with the Discovery team on hardware discovery errors.
  • Review error logs from data integrations.
  • Administer user access to FedEx, UPS, Staples, and Strive accounts in coordination with Corporate Operations.
  • Conduct quarterly physical inventory of IT assets and coordinate with finance.
  • Manage shipping and receiving functions for IT assets.
  • Review SLAs for hardware deployment and reclamation, prepare trend reports, and ensure proper asset disposal and documentation.

Monthly activities include stakeholder meetings, audit preparations, feature requests, and disposal regulation reviews. Yearly activities include reviewing release notes, documenting HAM changes, stakeholder discussions on upgrades, and participating in community and user groups.

About You

Qualifications

Education: Required - Associate Degree or equivalent.

Experience: Required - 3 years administrative experience, 1 year shipping/receiving, preferred - 1 year in IT support. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

License/Certifications: Required within 6 months of hire - ServiceNow CSA and HAM Fundamentals. Preferred - ITIL 4 Foundations, IAITAM certifications (CAMP, CHAMP, CITAM).

Working Conditions

Indoor, climate-controlled environment. Moderate noise. Light physical activity including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Up to 10% travel required for meetings and site visits. Physical activities involve occasional balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, and stooping, with varying frequency.

What We Offer

Compensation & Benefits: Salary depends on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA, EAP, wellness programs, retirement plans, disability benefits, training, discounts, PTO, and holidays. PTO accrual starts at .0745/hr, with a maximum of 240 hours/year, plus 6 paid holidays for full-time employees. Part-time benefits are prorated. Utah and Nevada employees may have additional holiday pay options.
