The mid-rate for this position is $25.20 per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and consider factors such as geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

About The Role

The Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for managing and configuring the Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro) module within the platform, overseeing the entire lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, by utilizing the advanced features of HAM Pro to track asset details, generate reports, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities and duties are performed as a Corporate role based in Missoula, MT.

Responsibilities

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Create and maintain accurate records of hardware assets within ServiceNow, including details like serial numbers, purchase dates, asset tags, and location; manage the asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including tracking deliveries and coordinating decommissioning.
  • Configuration and Administration: Configure HAM Pro settings including custom fields, workflows, and business rules to align with organizational requirements; set up asset categorization and tagging for reporting; manage user access and roles within HAM Pro to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on asset utilization, maintenance costs, and compliance status; analyze asset data to identify trends and potential cost savings; create dashboards to visualize key asset metrics for stakeholders.
  • Integration with Other Systems: Integrate HAM Pro with other ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident Management and CMDB) to provide a holistic view of IT assets; establish data synchronization with external systems such as procurement tools or accounting systems.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work with IT teams to ensure accurate asset data collection and maintenance; provide training and support to users on HAM Pro functionalities; troubleshoot asset management issues within ServiceNow.
  • Other Activities: Review previous night discovery schedules for diagnosable errors; collaborate with the Discovery team on discovery errors; review error logs from data integrations; administer user access to FedEx, UPS, Staples and Strive accounts; conduct quarterly physical IT asset inventories; manage shipping/receiving functions for IT assets; review SLAs on new hardware deployment; prepare trend reporting on SLAs; review disposed assets for proper system management; review version release notes and document HAM changes; discuss upgrades or new functionality with stakeholders; plan communications to increase employee awareness of IT Asset Management for Hardware; participate in HAM maturity initiatives and community forums; participate in local user groups and knowledge events to expand ITOM knowledge.
