Overview

Our client is seeking a principled, motivated and proactive HR Operations Associate to support core HR processes and lead office operations for a dynamic and fast-paced environment in the professional services space. This multifaceted role is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience in human resources (general office and events support blended with HR is also a plus) and a passion for creating smooth, people-focused employee experiences.

Location: Midtown Manhattan, 4 days/week onsite required

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • HR and HR Operations: Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding logistics
  • Support FMLA, leave tracking, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts including interview scheduling and candidate experience
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR systems are updated accurately
  • Assist with direct communications with payroll vendor, and validate payroll (Justworks experience a plus!)
  • Help track key HR metrics and maintain internal dashboards
  • Support the execution of ad hoc projects across HR and operations teams
  • Ensure an organized and welcoming office environment for all employees

Office Support and Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office management across multiple teams
  • Oversee tech setup for new employees and liaise with IT on equipment and connectivity
  • Manage supplies ordering, inventory, and vendor relations
  • Organize in-office and virtual events, team-building activities, and celebrations

Qualifications

  • 2+ years or more of experience in an HR coordinator or HR operations role
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as onboarding, recruiting, and leave administration
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Additional office support experience beyond the core HR knowledge a plus
  • Exceptional communications skills, written and verbal
  • A global mindset and the ability to collaborate across geographies
  • Tech-savvy with basic troubleshooting skills and experience supporting office logistics
  • Ability to be on-site 4 days a week in Midtown
