Eaglecrest Ski Area - Alaska's Best Kept Secret is hiring for the Eaglecrest Cashier position for the upcoming winter season.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for enthusiastic, guest service‑oriented people who are willing to work in an office environment all day. You should enjoy being around other skiers and snowboarders, while creating a friendly, upbeat atmosphere at the front ticket window or kitchen cashier station. Ski or snowboard experience is a bonus.

Eaglecrest is a true Alaskan gem as the State’s second largest ski area and one of very few municipally owned ski areas. You will be working in a beautiful location helping new users fall in love with winter sports. The Base Operations Team is a fun group with opportunities to experience many different parts of the mountain. Those with ski or snowboard experience may be able to ski or snowboard during breaks. You will receive discounts in the cafeteria, retail shop, rental shop, and on ski lessons.

Working hours and location

You will be working in various locations around the Eaglecrest Ski Area base area at 3000 Fish Creek Road, Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekends and holidays are mandatory. Overtime pay may be possible during holiday weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality customer service while operating point-of-sale systems and cash registers, counting money, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with end-of-shift cash out procedures.
• Stock the season pass area and ticket booth with necessary supplies and help keep the area clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Education: No education required.
• Experience: Three months of experience involving public contact and cash handling.
